Kids Strength and Mindset 12 Program
Kid’s Strength & Mindset 12
A Year-Long Strength and Mindset Program for Growing Bodies and Growing Minds
Kid’s Strength & Mindset 12 is a 52-week strength and mindset program designed to help children & teens build confidence, resilience, and trust in their bodies — safely, progressively, and without pressure.
Twelve foundational movements. One simple mindset system.
A full year of growth — inside and out.
Why Kid’s Strength & Mindset 12 Is Different
Most kids’ fitness programs focus on more: more exercises, more intensity, more competition.
Kid’s Strength & Mindset 12 focuses on mastery, safety, and confidence that lasts.
Strength that grows with the child
Whole-body movement, not isolated drills
Balance, coordination, and body awareness
Injury-reducing movement patterns
Confidence built through repetition — not pressure
Strong kids don’t need harder workouts.
They need safe structure and consistent practice.
Why 12 Moves Matter
The Kid’s Strength & Mindset 12 Program is built on one core belief:
Strong kids master how their bodies move — not just how exercises look.
Instead of overwhelming children with hundreds of exercises, this program focuses on 12 foundational movement patterns that appear naturally in play, sports, school, and daily life.
These movements teach kids how to:
Use their whole body together
Build strength safely as they grow
Develop balance, coordination, and spatial awareness
Reduce injury risk now and later
The 12 Foundational Movements Examples
Every workout is created by combining these movements in different ways, so children & teens build familiarity, confidence, and control over time.
Squat – sitting, standing, jumping, landing
Narrow Squat – balance, control, knee strength
Reverse Lunge – stepping, deceleration, stability
Kneeling Sissy Squat – quad strength and body control
Hip Hinge – bending safely, lifting, posture
Glute Bridge – hip strength and spinal support
Plank – core stability and body awareness
Dead Bug – coordination and cross-body control
Push-Up (Regular) – upper-body strength and confidence
Push-Up (Cobra) – shoulder mobility and spinal extension
Push-Up (Shoulders) – shoulder stability and control
Twist & Punch – rotation, power, coordination
Rather than “doing more,” children repeat these movements across the year, learning how to perform them better, safer, and with more confidence each week.
How the Program Progresses
The program follows a clear, age-appropriate progression:
Weeks 1–13: Learn the movements and build body awareness (mostly 2 moves per session)
Weeks 14–26: Add strength and choice (2 → 3 moves)
Weeks 27–39: Introduce rotation and challenge while maintaining control
Weeks 40–52: Integrate all movements with confidence and flow
Strength builds because movements become familiar — not because workouts become overwhelming.
The Mindset Algorithm (Kid Version)
Physical strength is only half the goal. Each week also teaches a simple mindset skill, because confidence and emotional regulation are just as important as muscles.

Why Movement and Mindset Are Paired
Every workout becomes a safe place to practice hard things.
When balance is tricky or a plank feels challenging, kids learn to:
Choose effort over perfection
Stay present instead of quitting
Regulate frustration
Trust their bodies
Over time, children learn that:
Feelings are not facts
Strength grows through repetition
They can handle discomfort
They can choose how they respond
That is resilience — built from the inside out.
The Bigger Picture
Kid’s Strength & Mindset 12 is not about creating athletes.
It’s about helping kids:
Move with confidence
Trust their bodies
Think flexibly
Handle challenge
Carry strength into real life
Twelve movements. One mindset system.
A full year of growth — inside and out.
About Dr. Ali Novitsky
Why We Chose to Bring Her Program In-House
Dr. Ali Novitsky is a triple board-certified physician (Obesity Medicine, Pediatrics, and Neonatology) and a Master Certified Coach, known for her work at the intersection of muscle preservation, metabolic health, and sustainable behavior change.
Her approach is grounded in clinical physiology, psychological safety, and real-world adherence — not fitness trends or extremes.
Dr. Novitsky created Kid's Strength & Mindset to solve a problem many clinicians see every day:
patients are told to “strength train,” but are rarely given a system that works with their physiology, schedule, and emotional capacity.
Why This Practice Chose Dr. Novitsky’s Program
We chose to bring Dr. Novitsky’s strength programming into our wellness offerings because it aligns with how we think about long-term health:
Muscle preservation is foundational to healthspan
Strength training must be realistic to be sustainable
Short, structured programs improve adherence
Mindset and emotional regulation matter as much as movement
This program complements medical care by supporting consistency, confidence, and physical capacity between visits — without replacing individualized clinical decision-making.
A Clinically Informed — Not Clinically Replacing — Approach
What sets Dr. Novitsky’s work apart is her ability to translate medical understanding into accessible, non-medical training experiences.
The program is designed by a physician, but delivered as a wellness system
It respects variability in hormones, recovery, appetite, and stress
It avoids the “more is better” mindset that often leads to burnout or dropout
This makes Beginner Strength & Mindset especially appropriate for patients navigating:
Perimenopause or midlife transitions
Weight loss or metabolic changes
GLP-1–assisted care
Busy professional or caregiving roles
Shared Philosophy
We partnered with Dr. Novitsky because we share core values:
Evidence-informed care without rigidity
Compassion over compliance
Strength as a long-term investment, not a short-term fix
Programs that work in real life — not ideal conditions
Beginner Strength & Mindset reflects these principles in a way that is structured, supportive, and sustainable.
About the Program’s Role in Your Care
Beginner Strength & Mindset is offered through this practice as an optional wellness resource. It is not medical treatment, not insurance-reimbursable, and not a replacement for physician care.
It exists to support patients who want a clear, physician-designed path to strength alongside their ongoing medical care.
